RESTORATION
Paul started restoring mustangs & high performance Fords
in 1984, after deciding that his engineering job at General
Motors was not for him.
For the next 3 years, Paul’s attention to details &
engineering skills did not go unnoticed. In the spring of
1987, Paul was busy enough to move operations. He rented a
section of an 18,000 sq ft industrial building. Over the next
few years, Paul concentrated on growing the business &
building cars.
In 1991, Paul was again ready to expand & stepped up the
capabilites of the shop by hiring veteran paint & body
expert Roy Honsaker. Paul’s Automotive Engineering was
quickly becoming known for building the highest quality concours
mustang restorations in the country.

rehabbing the 18,000 sq ft facility, Roy leads a staff of restoration
& fabrication experts & has been described by Hot Rod
Magazine as “arguably the most talented equestrian painter
